State Supreme Court Rules Against Sunset Sky Ranch

The Galt Herald is reporting that the California State Supreme Court ruled against supporters of the Sunset Sky Ranch who are fighting to keep their airport open.  Supporters will continue the fight.

Homebuilders mourn the loss of Morry Hummel

We regret to inform aircraft enthusiasts everywhere that one of aviation’s biggest fans of homebuilding has taken wing to the world beyond this one. Morry Hummel, EAA 8892, died at his home on February 4, 2010. Our prayers are with them and their family.

The Warbird Heritage Foundation, of Waukegan, Illinois, will continue its regular participation at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in 2010, as it will bring two of its Vietnam-era aircraft — a Douglas A-4B Skyhawk jet and Douglas AD-1 Skyraider single-engine radial piston — to be part of EAA’s “Salute to Veterans” commemoration at Oshkosh.
